Cookie's little guy seems to be enjoying all the milk normally produced for six! An absolute little hippo!
My little Cookie has successfully delivered her second litter. She just had two - one of which didn't make it. It looked like she had a rough delivery. The remaining kit has a round little tummy from Mom's good bunny milk! And Cookie is proving to be a champion little mother. She checks on her baby a lot to make sure he's okay in there by himself. She keeps him covered up with a thick blanket of fur which she plucked from herself to make his bed cozy.
Brownie's babies are growing up quick! They are starting to be able to hop in and out of the nest box to explore the rest of their territory on little shaky legs.
The babies have all learned to jump in and out of the nest boxes now and they are starting to do little hiccuppy looking hops and bouncing around! They are also tasting the cage, the nest box, the hay, people, pretty much everything they see!
Gertrude had two very fat little ones and Pumpkin had a whopping litter of six for her first litter.! Pictures coming soon...
Gertrude and Pumpkin are busy arranging their nests and getting ready for the new litters! Here "Gertie" gathers up every bit of hay she can find to stuff in her nest Nest building is a lot of work!

AuthorI originally got the idea to raise rabbits for fertilizer for my garden! Obviously, one thing led to another and I am now the owner of a small rabbitry. I love my bunnies and enjoy spending time with them! Archives
