These are Hurst's lovely babies! | This is Bonny Blue's first litter - three beautiful black babies! The only trouble is, she got a little over zealous when she cleaned them up and one of them has no ears, no tail and is missing part of his foot! In spite of his troubles he is incredibly healthy and fat! |
The babies are starting to get very cute - their eyes should be opening soon! These are the first four litters! I got lots of torts this time. Oscar is the buck I used for all of these litters.

We have approximately 11 does expecting babies. They all have big appetites right now while their tummies are expanding! For pictures of my does check out my "Our does and Bucks" page. I am not currently keeping an active waiting list so be sure to check back in a few weeks for updates!
My does have all been visiting the bucks so hopefully we will soon have babies in the nest boxes! It normally takes 31 days for a doe to gestate so we should see babies the first week of November. It will be a busy month here for Texas Holland Lops!! We have also added a couple of beautiful new does from Quietcreek Rabbitry - I'm excited to see what they produce. More pictures coming soon.
Thought I'd give you a few snapshots of the new bunny house going up! We are so excited and can't wait to get the bunnies all situated in their new home! They will definitely be housed in style! With the weather starting to cool a bit we are hoping to be able to start breeding soon as well so we can have some new litters on the way soon. Thanks to all of you for your patience!
At our house we are counting the weeks until we can contemplate cooler temperatures! Air conditioning is certainly much appreciated in Texas!
To keep everyone who is shopping for a new bunny updated: Most of my bunnies are taking a break from kindling until either we get some cooler weather or their new house is completed with a/c! Most of them have learned to sprawl out alongside their frozen water bottles to keep cool in the afternoons but I think they breathe a sigh of relief when its night time and they can have a little respite from the heat! My newest doe, Sandy, is playing queen and living in our laundry room while she awaits her kindling date! She is a lovely, rare Siamese Sable color and I am excited to see what colors she produces! I will try to get some pictures posted soon. These are some of Pumpkin's latest! They were born March 24th so they're just barely four weeks old! They are absolutely adorable and although they're still pretty crazy right now they'll calm down and be lovely bunnies.
Cookie's babies are just starting to hop in and out of the nest box to explore Mom's cage and taste her food and water! This little fellow is sneaking a quick snack!

AuthorI originally got the idea to raise rabbits for fertilizer for my garden! Obviously, one thing led to another and I am now the owner of a small rabbitry. I love my bunnies and enjoy spending time with them! Archives
